This book was originally published prior to 1923, and represents a reproduction of an important historical work, maintaining the same format as the original work. While some publishers have opted to apply OCR (optical character recognition) technology to the process, we believe this leads to sub-optimal results (frequent typographical errors, strange characters and confusing formatting) and does not adequately preserve the historical character of the original artifact. We believe this work is culturally important in its original archival form. While we strive to adequately clean and digitally enhance the original work, there are occasionally instances where imperfections such as blurred or missing pages, poor pictures or errant marks may have been introduced due to either the quality of the original work or the scanning process itself. Despite these occasional imperfections, we have brought it back into print as part of our ongoing global book preservation commitment, providing customers with access to the best possible historical reprints. We appreciate your understanding of these occasional imperfections, and sincerely hope you enjoy seeing the book in a format as close as possible to that intended by the original publisher.

This is what I wrote to Kindle Customer Support. You might want to do the same:Dear Kindle Customer Support:
I am writing to complain about your Kindle edition of A Sevenfold Trouble by Grace Livingston Hill. I do not want a refund, but you need to know that there are two books added (secretly, it seems to me) at the end of your Kindle edition (84% and 95%) that should NOT be there. Please read the GREAT customer review that is posted there for more details. I also bought your print edition of the book and the two extra books are not there. Note that the first added book is a war story (The Encounter by Javier Hill--1863) and is not offensive, although NOT by Grace Livingston Hill and (I would think) has no right to be there, especially since neither book is mentioned in the publisher's review. The second book (95% Fifty Shakes of Matrimony by Seine Emerald) is EXTREMELY offensive and MOST DEFINITELY needs to be removed. I belong to a group of approximately 250 people in a Grace Livingston Hill "Fan Club", so to speak. I was asked to report this very offensive book to you since I have done it before and have found your cooperation in matters like this extremely helpful. Thank you so much.

A Sevenfold Trouble Pansy Books Reviews
In the beginning it was hard to stay interested in all the various characters and the flow of the book, but as this is a testimony of the power of Jesus Christ to change the life one cannot help but rejoice at the way the story ended. Indeed I was encouraged to be more patient and loving in spite of challenges and trials that we face from day to day. Thank God he can change Margaret, Weston, Johnnie, Jacob, Mr and Mrs Moore and me and you!
The Moore Family had its conflicts and problems as the story begins. Margaret the only daughter in the family cannot tolerate her stepmother. But as she is the first in the family to make a decision for Christ, things begin to change not only for her but also for the rest of the family. I enjoyed reading all about it!
Such a beautiful & honest tracing of the power of God to transform a life & a family when He is truly & continually surrendered to!
I have seen very similar experiences in my life & in parts of my family, so though this is a work of fiction, it is most definitely true to life...to the kind of life Jesus promised - abundant!
As with all of Grace Livingston Hill books, this was an entertaining and uplifting read.
A SEVENFOLD TROUBLE is one of GLH's early books and it was written in cooperation with several family members who supposedly witnessed the real life story that this is based on. In this book, we meet a family whose mother has passed away and the father remarries - bringing a new "mother" to three children who see her as an intruder and bitterly resent her. How will they work out the issues of this blended family? It the trouble too deep for the love of God to heal, or can this family find the compassion for each other that all of them desperately need?
The eldest daughter discovers all she thought true about her stepmother was not so. An insidious mouth (her aunt) poisoned her young mind. Eventually she realizes that. He growing faith heals not just her own self but those around her. It is a gradual process and I liked that the story unfolded in a leisurely pace.
Changes were not abrupt and I could feel that I was a part of that family's struggles.
I'm glad I read this GLH story. It is shorter than others and that's okay too. Sometimes a light read is just what I want. This is a good book. The children are not perfect (not even close!) though they do work together eventually. Great lessons for the kiddies too.
GLH's stories are always a postive example of how we should be..I know in reality many of the scenes are not reality...but the truth that prevails is that we should do right, even if it is a struggle and all will work together for good. Now that's a Biblical truth that is driven home frequently in her books and that urges me to want to do better in my walk with the Lord. I think this book as well as her others have the power to change people, saved and unsaved!
The effect of her Christian life continues to make a difference through the ages...
I am a fan of Grace Livingston Hill. All of her books are excellent and enjoyable. I did not like the other two books that you included with "A Sevenfold Trouble." The other two were "The Encounter" and "Fifty Shakes of Matrimony A Christian Romance." It was a shock when I came to the end of "A Sevenfold Trouble' and the other two popped up. I read "The Encounter' and did not like it. I started reading "Fifty Shakes. . . " and stopped. It was disgusting. Grace Livingston Hill was a very fine writer, and to pair her work up with two such inferior writing was very disapointing. I just got my . I hope you people do not snick in other things at the end of all the other books a person buys for .
