Brought this book years ago along with all of theParkey Cruising series but lost them in a move. I purchased these to reread and keep in my library. Lin is one of the best writers of sailing, she tells it like it is in a very interesting way. I now have almost all of her books.Product details

Well written full of interesting anecdotes not only about life at sea but also what it is like to cope in close confinement as a couple.
Wonderful narrative

Over the course of her books, Lin's writing and story telling skills increased immensely. This was, by far, the best of the series so far.
I didn't realise this wasn't written as a Lyn and Larry Pardy sailing adventure. Rather it's an accumulation of boats, their specifications and their owners. Disapppointed to find it wasn't written in the same vein as "Seraffyn's European Adventure".
So far I love it. I didn't finish yet, but I love the way Lin writes... I'm only a couch sailor, but feel as tough I'm there where the action is. It would be fair to say that the book is a must for those who want to cross through the Suez Canal
Well, I just finished the last book of the Saraffyn odyssey and am sad that it's over. As an old retired "land lubber" who is pretty happy with his past and present life, I still find that I'm envious of the life Lin and Larry have lived. I wonder if there are any sailing schools in East Texas......
